I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist based in the Los Angeles and consider myself to be a Nutrition Therapist because of the nature of the work. I'm also registered as a dietitian in the UK. I have practiced dietetics and nutrition counseling for the last 10 years and have worked at multiple health care facilities in the Los Angeles area, as well as one in London, in all levels of care (inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient) and contributed to the development of their nutrition programs. My primary experience and specialty is with individuals with Disordered Eating (repeated dieting, pre-occupation with food, body, and exercise, guilt associated with food and exercise, emotional eating, orthorexia, etc.) and Eating Disorders. I have also worked with individuals with Substance Abuse, Digestive Disorders (IBS & IBD), Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Diabetes, Food Intolerances & Allergies and welcome the opportunity to get to know, learn from and work with new clients.

I am a big advocate of Intuitive and Mindful Eating, and Health at Every Size® as approaches to a healthy relationship with one's body, mind, movement and food. I am very passionate about my work and understand that there can be many challenges (both emotionally and physically) associated with improving wellness and achieving change. I'm also aware that opening up about one’s struggles and habits that are perceived as negative can be difficult. Discussing food, health and body is extremely personal, therefore, I work to create a warm, empathetic environment so that my clients feel comfortable to share without fear of judgment.

Nowadays it’s hard to know what to believe: from the sensationalized articles about new diets, compelling anecdotal evidence, conflicting studies, to eye catching marketing on food packaging, and the next food that’s touted as the new cure all. It’s no wonder people may find themselves confused about what, when and how to eat. Furthermore, for those that have an Eating Disorder these messages can reinforce unhealthful eating behaviors. I believe that no foods have to be forbidden to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle and my intention is to help people navigate the nutrition messages with increased awareness, understanding of what their body needs, what’s true for them, what applies and what doesn’t. Through nutrition education, experimentation, fore planning, practice and improved attunement to the body’s physical cues and emotions, a sustainable healthful way of life is possible.

In my personal life, I enjoy making lovely meals, perusing local food markets, discovering new foods, exploring the outdoors and nearby mountains, listening to loud music and aspiring to travel the world.
